Denver Access Guide
Denver has a long history of commitment to accessibility. We've compiled a list of resources below to help ensure an inclusive experience for everyone at this year's convention. Visitors are also encouraged to visit Denver ADAPT to learn how this organization has been empowering the disabled community for 25 years. Please e-mail disability@denverconvention2008.com to provide feedback on accessibility during the convention.

Transportation
- DIA transportation will be provided by Super Shuttle and Yellow Cab. For airport arrivals, delegates will be grouped by destination hotel and board buses from both terminals.
- Contact your airline to reserve a wheelchair at the airport if you need one.
- Accessible vehicles will be provided by Yellow Cab. Though vehicles will be pre-staged, delegates who require an accessible van are encouraged to notify Yellow Cab 24 hours or more in advance at (303) 777-7777.
- Sign language volunteers will be available at both
terminals to serve those with hearing impairments.

- Free shuttles are available on the 16th Street Mall. They stop on every corner and are great for accessible shopping.

Leave early for airport departures! Delegates should leave hotels 4 hours before scheduled flight departure. Accessible vehicles will be available at all hotels. All Access Bike Station
An all access bike station will be located next to the Denver Children’s Museum, featuring a full array of hand cycles. Cruise Denver’s expansive bike lanes, the popular Platte River Trail, or ride an off-road hand cycle around an adventurous obstacle course at Gates Crescent Park.

Accessible Activities
Accessible Activities
- The People with Disabilities Caucus will be held on Tuesday, August 26, and Thursday, August 28, from 12-2 p.m. at the Convention Center. TTY and sign language interpreters will be available.
- Visit the ADAPT Headquarters to see the living history exhibit about the movement for accessible public transit, which began in Denver 25 years ago. Today ADAPT advocates nationally for independent living. The museum is open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and is located at 201 S. Cherokee Street. Call ahead: (303) 733-9324; TTY: (303) 733-0047. A permanent exhibit about ADAPT's legacy in Denver is maintained at the RTD Market Street Station.
- Visit the VSA art galleries, which offer opportunities for people with disabilities to create and exhibit their own art. Located at 909 Santa Fe Drive. Phone: (303) 777-0797; TTY: (303) 777-0796.
- Racing handcycles from the 2008 U.S. Paralympics Cycling National Championships are on display at LoDo's Bar and Grill, an accessible restaurant located at 1946 Market Street in downtown Denver. Call (303) 293-8555.
