The public comparison you were viewing was captured by Versionista.com, a service that
tracks changes to Web sites.
We wish to provide some basic information which will help you use our product:
- Anyone can create an account at Versionista and track changes to any site. They can choose to turn "on" or "off" a public
archive of the site they are tracking. As a result, the comparison and archive you were viewing may be turned "off" and become
inaccessible at any time by the originating user.
- Most Web site changes are "irrelevant" -- that is to say, a small edit on a footer or header is generally not worth recording.
As such, Versionista allows users to apply any number of standard filters, such as ignoring date changes, as well as more complex
"regular expression" rules. As well, users can tell Versionista to spider a site more or less frequently, and users may also
delete archives of their choice. Because of these two factors, please be aware that the archive you are viewing may not
comprehensively display all versions.
- The dates that postmark each revision history should not be confused with the actual time that that edit was made. These dates
reflect the time that Versionista noticed the change, which may be considerably later than the actual edit date due to spidering
schedules selected by the originating user.
- Generally, Versionista presents comparisons with Javascript turned "off". However, this may disable some graphic or menu
displays. In the comparison top frame, you can toggle the Javascript by clicking on "enable javascript".
- Similarly, some graphics may not appear as a result of those graphics being removed from the originating server or if the user
has indicated, for the sake of storage, not to archive graphics.
- There are multiple different "comparisons" available. Since some edits are hard to spot, or may be buried in interactive
elements, it may be worthwhile to click through the other comparison types to get a better sense of what has been altered.
- We encourage you to create your own free account at Versionista, and start tracking
sites to your specifications.
